Hello there.

Ever since I could remember, I have always liked stories and pictures. I was that child who could spend hours by myself - reading, painting, drawing, etc. Growing up in a missionary family taught me to embrace the beautiful transience of the everyday. We moved around a lot, and I was only allowed to keep what I can carry back and forth easily across borders (ask me about it), so have little left of my childhood but journals full of stories and sketches. All of it was because I need to remember.

My love for photography itself started when my family moved to California in the late 2000's. This was just around the time when point-and-shoot cameras had become commonplace, and phones had advanced to allow us to take decent pictures we can slap really bad filters on. So, my hand-drawn sketches became photos. But unlike the journals, these were easier to share. Now, what I remember, I can retell.

Living in the Los Angeles area was and is a dream - an amazing place to live and to bask in all that beautiful SoCal light. I loved that city (still do!). But in 2016, I moved cross country to southeastern Pennsylvania and ended up loving it there just as much, if not more. As of 2023, the adventure continues - and today I find myself in Sandusky, Ohio by the shores of Lake Erie. The light is different at each new stop, but the grass is greener - as it always is where God plants us :)

Friends and family know me still as the one who is always taking a visual diary of everything going on around me. As much as I love taking pictures where people look their dapper best, my favorite photographs are those taken when we are most ourselves.

You come as you. I'll take care of the photos... Hey, I'll even take care of the coffee.

Best,

Louriz
